Six schools in the Madison Elementary School District have been recognized in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings for elementary and middle schools in Arizona. The publication evaluated more than 80,000 public elementary and middle schools across the United States.

The honored schools are Madison Simis Elementary, Madison Heights Elementary, Madison Rose Lane Elementary, Madison No. 1 Middle School, Madison Meadows Middle School, and Madison Traditional Academy.

According to U.S. News & World Report, these rankings are based on measures of student performance and other indicators of school quality.
