Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, has recently used his social media platform to express his views on decentralized finance (DeFi) and to promote related content.

On January 22, 2026, Finchem posted: “I favor DeFi, not ConFi, decentralized vs. centralized. Think Jeckel Island 2.0. @DigitalGoldTalk Matt 7:15-20…’Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from https://t.co/wuRgDkUoQV”. In this post, he references the concept of decentralization in financial systems and includes a biblical quote.

Two days later, on January 24, 2026, Finchem shared two links without additional commentary: “https://t.co/Oqu0xnMo86 https://t.co/3nPs5p0Y4M”.

On January 25, 2026, he wrote: “This is another must watch podcast. @DigitalGoldTalk https://t.co/MtvCroDnkk”, highlighting a podcast episode associated with Digital Gold Talk.

Finchem began serving as state senator after being elected in 2025 to represent Arizona’s 1st Senate District; he succeeded Ken Bennett in this role.
