Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues related to voting eligibility, political parties, and public figures.
On February 21, 2026, Finchem questioned the validity of postmortem proof of eligibility for voting in a tweet: “Should #postmortem proof of eligibility to vote be considered valid for voting postmortem? @GenFlynn @realLizUSA @KariLake @realJoeHoft https://t.co/2AiYNlJwGw”.
The following day, on February 22, 2026, he criticized the Democratic Party and media figure Don Lemon: “Democrat depravity knows no bounds. This is a political party dedicated to #sedition and #insurrection at all costs; Lemon has no shame in search of relevance. https://t.co/egA0nZ1jVO”.
On February 24, 2026, Finchem commented on Special Counsel Jack Smith with another tweet: “Will someone please get Jack Smith some help for his out-of-control #TDS. @GenFlynn @PatrickByrne @DCdraino https://t.co/Ocqs5Q2qmU”.
Finchem was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 after serving as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives. He succeeded Ken Bennett as senator for the state’s 1st Senate District.
