Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, announced the passage of several legislative measures in recent posts on his official social media account.

On March 10, 2026, Finchem wrote: “Proud to introduce and pass SB1648 through the Senate – protecting Arizona seniors from court-ordered financial abuse by requiring real oversight on excessive fees and guardian rip-offs.”

Shortly after, he highlighted another legislative development: “Big win for school safety: Arizona Senate passed SB1582 that I co-sponsored, boosting communication tools between schools, cops, and first responders – because Democrats voting no on real protection is pure hypocrisy.” This post referred to efforts aimed at improving coordination among educational institutions and emergency personnel.

In a third post on the same day, Finchem stated: “My SB1036 requiring active job searches for unemployment benefits just advanced in the Senate and hit the House – promoting real work over endless handouts and holding the system accountable.”

Finchem was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 following his predecessor Ken Bennett. His recent posts reflect ongoing priorities in senior protection legislation, school safety initiatives, and changes to unemployment benefit requirements.
