Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, announced progress on several legislative initiatives via social media posts dated February 26, 2026.

In one post, Finchem stated: “Proud co-sponsor of SB1520 requiring state agencies to share illegal immigration data with feds – full Republican caucus backing to secure our border now.” (February 26, 2026).

He also reported advancement on election-related legislation: “Strong progress: my SB1647 banning foreign money in elections advanced out of Senate Judiciary and Elections – keeping globalists and Marxists out of Arizona votes.” (February 26, 2026).

A third post highlighted another bill focused on financial security: “My SB1649 creating a strategic reserve from seized crypto cleared Senate Rules – turning cartel cash into real security for Arizona taxpayers.” (February 26, 2026).

Finchem was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 after replacing Ken Bennett as the representative for the state’s 1st Senate District.
