Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, has made several statements on social media criticizing national news organizations and commenting on recent political developments.

On October 3, 2025, Finchem posted a critique of CNN’s credibility, stating, “And this is why America no longer sees CNN as a credible source for news. show!”

Later the same day, he commented on presidential service, writing, “A discharge from the president’s service is in order. @PatrickByrne @GenFlynn”

On October 5, 2025, Finchem addressed what he described as issues of justice and retribution involving former President Trump: “But the left doesn’t understand this is not retribution, this is justice, it is the very justice that they themselves defined when they attempted to engage in a coup against president trump that has now been revealed. @DC_Draino @GenFlynn @Real_RobN @realLizUSA”

Finchem was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 after replacing Ken Bennett as senator for the state’s 1st district.
