Senator Mark Finchem, a Republican representing Arizona’s 1st Senate District since 2025, has recently used his social media platform to comment on ongoing legal and ethical controversies, as well as issues in the cryptocurrency sector.
On September 25, 2025, Finchem criticized Attorney General Mayes and a related legal case. He wrote: “A case that never should have been brought, the fraud of an AG’s naked political retribution is rightly squared against 1960 jurisprudence. Mayes is an embarrassment who has cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. She should be impeached. And CapTimes… get it right, https://t.co/fkAVhgVolf”.
Two days later, on September 27, he commented on the value of perspective within cryptocurrency communities: “So where does one gain perspective? Here. There is so much to consider in the cryptocurrency communities. https://t.co/pCNJPS5YWL”.
Later that same day, Finchem addressed ethical concerns regarding recusal in government proceedings and called for congressional action: “The Cannons of Ethics demands that the guy recuse himself, his failure to do is cause for Congress to impeach. @SpeakerJohnson @EliCraneAZ @GenFlynn @andybiggs4az https://t.co/AE1wEk1iTY”.
Finchem succeeded Ken Bennett after being elected to represent Arizona’s 1st Senate District in 2025.
