On January 20, 2026, Finchem posted a message referencing local government actions in Pittsburgh and broader national debates about immigration enforcement. Finchem was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 after serving as a public figure involved in state politics. He succeeded Ken Bennett as senator for the state’s 1st Senate District.
