Republic Services, Inc. has announced the appointment of Ian Craig to its board of directors, bringing the total number of board members to 13, with 12 classified as independent.
Ian Craig is currently the chief executive officer of Coca-Cola FEMSA, which is recognized as Latin America’s largest bottling company. The company operates in 10 countries and reports annual revenue of $16 billion and a market capitalization of $23 billion. During his tenure as CEO since 2023, Craig has led initiatives focused on digital transformation and sustainability. These efforts include increasing the use of renewable energy at production plants and establishing plastic bottle collection programs.
Before becoming CEO, Craig held several leadership roles within Coca-Cola FEMSA, such as chief operating officer for Brazil and Argentina and various financial leadership positions. He has also managed over $7 billion in mergers and acquisitions throughout Latin America.

Craig holds an MBA from the University of Chicago along with a master’s degree in international commercial law and a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.
