Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has announced several events and services through its official Twitter account, highlighting upcoming discounts, travel opportunities for soccer fans, and a job fair at the airport.

On June 1, 2026, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport posted about a special event for #602Day: “Enjoy discounts at PHX on 6/02 for the city’s #602Day celebration. Products from Cookie Brokers & Kettle Heroes Popcorn will be $6.02, matching Phoenix’s first area code—at 8 airport locations: https://t.co/fFtKbkkXxA @CityofPhoenixAZ @PLshopdinefly https://t.co/vq3fMQrkho”. The promotion aligns with Phoenix’s original area code and is available at eight locations in the airport.

Later that day, on June 1, 2026, the airport highlighted travel options related to an international soccer tournament: “Soccer fans: You can fly from PHX to all North American host cities in the upcoming international soccer tournament! Consider a stop in Phoenix as you follow your team. More in our latest PHX Check-In: https://t.co/1V494lhK1G https://t.co/eZDDjIvuff”.

On June 2, 2026, the airport promoted employment opportunities through its monthly job fair: “Come join us at the monthly Job Fair today! In recent years, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has expanded its offerings and leadership team. In August 2022, Breeze Airways announced new service connecting Phoenix to Charleston, South Carolina, and Provo, Utah from Terminal 3 twice weekly (source). Also in August of that year, Roxann Favors was named Assistant Director and Chief Revenue Officer of the City of Phoenix Aviation Department (source), while Jay DeWitt was appointed Assistant Director and Chief Development Officer overseeing several key divisions within the department (source).
