Ahead of the weekend, the airport issued a travel advisory on September 20, 2025: “Heads up if you’re traveling to the airport this weekend.”
On September 22, 2025, the airport acknowledged World Gratitude Day and expressed appreciation for its volunteers: “Yesterday was World Gratitude Day! Here at PHX, we are grateful for our volunteer Navigators team, celebrating their 25th anniversary-and the four-legged Navigator Buddies, who help de-stress PHX passengers. Phoenix Sky Harbor has been active in expanding services and leadership. In August 2022, Breeze Airways announced new routes from Phoenix to Charleston and Provo operating twice weekly from Terminal 3 (source). Around the same time, Roxann Favors was named Assistant Director and Chief Revenue Officer for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department (source), while Jay DeWitt was appointed Assistant Director and Chief Development Officer overseeing planning and financial management divisions (source).
These updates reflect ongoing efforts by Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to improve traveler experience through both operational enhancements and community-focused programs.
