Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport marked the anniversary of its Culture Corner program and highlighted ongoing initiatives to support local businesses and healthy dining options, according to a series of posts on its official Twitter account in January 2026.
On January 20, 2026, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport posted: “Did you know that the Culture Corner program at PHX is now one year old? The next Culture Corner is Jan. 28, highlighting Indigenous Hoop Dancing. We’re thrilled to continue celebrating the diversity, creativity and cultural heritage of AZ in 2026! https://t.co/ysUY6EShBv”.
The following day, on January 21, the airport shared another update about supporting local entrepreneurs: “We love supporting local businesses at PHX, and Koko’s Candles has a mission behind every candle.
Available in Terminal 4, post-security at Arizona Roadtrip and Greetings from Phoenix, operated by retailer Paradies Lagardère.

Later that same day, Phoenix Sky Harbor addressed travelers’ interest in healthier food choices: “We know that sometimes travelers want something on the healthier side while at the airport. For those looking for lighter choices at Phoenix Sky Harbor, visit https://t.co/FNNlJtBYZe to find meals from more than 50 restaurants and cafes across the airport. https://t.co/ZAvserEgTT”.
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has seen recent developments beyond these initiatives. In August 2022, Breeze Airways announced new services connecting Phoenix with Charleston, South Carolina and Provo, Utah operating out of Terminal 3 twice weekly (source). Around the same time, Roxann Favors was named Assistant Director and Chief Revenue Officer for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department (source), while Jay DeWitt was appointed Assistant Director and Chief Development Officer overseeing several key divisions within the department (source).
These updates reflect both ongoing efforts to enhance passenger experience through cultural programming and amenities as well as broader organizational changes within Phoenix’s aviation leadership.
