Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has issued several updates regarding upcoming events and construction changes at the airport, according to recent posts on its official Twitter account.
On May 7, 2026, Phoenix Sky Harbor invited travelers to a live music event featuring Jessica Maeve: “Join us for some acoustic music played by Jessica Maeve for Traveling Tunes today from 9 to 11 a.m. in Terminal 4, level 3, near the food court across from the iStore. https://t.co/gqbjUQi4Zl https://t.co/Gha2wu1Rzi” (posted May 7, 2026).
Later that day, the airport provided information about a change in traffic flow beginning Sunday night: “Beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday, May 10, vehicles on Buckeye Road or Copperhead Drive going to eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard will transit on a newly reconfigured stretch of Sky Harbor Boulevard that passes beneath the new Taxiway U bridge. On May 8, Phoenix Sky Harbor shared another update related to this construction project: “Take a peek at the new eastbound Sky Harbor Blvd section under the future Taxiway U bridge. Starting at 10 p.m. Sunday, May 10, drivers on Buckeye Rd or Copperhead Dr will shift onto this reconfigured stretch. These developments are part of ongoing enhancements and management changes at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. In August 2022, Breeze Airways announced it would begin offering twice-weekly service from Phoenix to Charleston and Provo as part of an expansion operating out of Terminal 3 (source). That same month, Roxann Favors was named Assistant Director and Chief Revenue Officer for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department after nearly two decades with city management (source). Additionally, Jay DeWitt was appointed Assistant Director and Chief Development Officer overseeing key divisions within the Aviation Department (source).
