Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport announces musical events and inaugural flight arrivals

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport highlighted recent musical performances and a notable inaugural flight in a series of posts on October 15 and 16, 2025.

On October 15, the airport promoted an upcoming live music event: “Don’t miss Traveling Tunes tomorrow at PHX. Wes Cichosz performs 2000s pop hits from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Terminal 4 Food Court, Level 3.”

The following day, Phoenix Sky Harbor shared a recap of a musical performance at the airport: “Today, visitors at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport enjoyed the soothing sounds of classical Indian sitār music performed by local artist and music educator Seema Gulati! For more information on the Culture Corner, visit our website https://t.co/Voh1kfOMLY https://t.co/dk48SVmlPv” This post highlighted the airport’s ongoing Culture Corner initiative.

Later on October 16, the airport welcomed a delegation arriving on a new flight: “Welcome to #PHX! Members of the Santa Maria Public Airport District Board of Directors, the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and @smxairport arrived today on @americanair inaugural service to Phoenix.”

Phoenix Sky Harbor has recently expanded its service offerings. In August 2022, Breeze Airways announced new routes from Phoenix to Charleston, South Carolina, and Provo, Utah, operating twice weekly from Terminal 3 (source). Additionally, the City of Phoenix appointed Roxann Favors as Assistant Director/Chief Revenue Officer and Jay DeWitt as Assistant Director/Chief Development Officer for the Aviation Department in August 2022 (source, source).
