Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport announced a series of awards recognizing exceptional service and inclusivity among its partners, according to social media posts made on March 10, 2026.

In the first announcement, the airport stated, “Our Purple Passion Award for exceptional customer service goes to ABM Industries, Inc. #avnbiz2026 #americasfriendliestairport https://t.co/hEgNwbbf9i” (posted March 10, 2026).

Shortly after, Phoenix Sky Harbor recognized companies supporting inclusive travel initiatives. The airport posted on March 10, 2026: “We are also recognizing our Inclusive Travel Partner Champions. Our first recipient is @AmericanAir. #avnbiz2026 https://t.co/eLDP0KvVve”. In a subsequent post at the same date and time frame, it added: “Congratulations to @SouthwestAir for being recognized as one of our Inclusive Travel Partner Champions. #avnbiz2026 https://t.co/Tv9ajjYNQC”.

These recognitions reflect ongoing efforts by Phoenix Sky Harbor to promote both customer service and accessibility within its operations and partnerships. In recent years, the airport has expanded services and updated leadership roles in line with these priorities. For example, in August 2022 Breeze Airways began operating new routes from Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Terminal 3 to Charleston and Provo (source). Additionally, that same month saw key appointments in the Aviation Department: Roxann Favors was named Assistant Director/Chief Revenue Officer (source) and Jay DeWitt became Assistant Director/Chief Development Officer (source), strengthening leadership in areas including planning, development, revenue management and construction.

The airport continues its reputation as “America’s Friendliest Airport,” maintaining a focus on both operational excellence and traveler inclusivity through such public recognitions.
