Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has announced several events and updates for travelers in early April 2026. The airport’s social media posts highlight NCAA basketball activities, live music performances, and a new leadership appointment at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport.

On April 1, 2026, the airport posted that “The NCAA is hosting basketball-related activities in baggage claim areas in both Terminals on Thursday & Friday. The PHX team will also be in Terminal 4 on Thursday & the Rental Car Center Friday! Travel tips for the games: https://t.co/z0PLHEUHKy @AZSportAlliance @WFinalFour https://t.co/Q0nH0ucYps”. This indicates a partnership with the NCAA to engage travelers during the tournament period.

Later that day, another post promoted local music as part of an ongoing airport program: “For April’s Traveling Tunes, find soft rock playing at #PHX! This month will feature local artists Smootmahooty and The Radios. Find out more about the Traveling Tunes program at https://t.co/gqbjUQi4Zl https://t.co/GSTSegT0vI”. The Traveling Tunes initiative brings live performances to airport terminals to enhance the passenger experience.

In a separate announcement on April 1, Phoenix Sky Harbor shared a leadership update: “We are pleased to announce Kim Brown is the new Airport Manager for Phoenix Deer Valley Airport! After 18 years, she returns to DVT to take the reins following the retirement of previous Airport Manager Ed Faron. Congratulations, Kim, on your promotion!

These announcements come as Phoenix Sky Harbor continues its efforts to expand services and improve management.
