Phoenix Public Library will participate in “A Very Laufey Day” on Sunday, August 24, 2025. The event is a global celebration focused on music, books, and community. Music artist Laufey has curated special itineraries for fans to mark the occasion.

This year, Phoenix is among five public library systems worldwide offering an exclusive AVLD x Phoenix Public Library collaborative library card. Laufey commented, “I’m so honored that Phoenix Public Library is one of five public library systems around the world launching a limited-edition Laufey Book Club collaborative library card!”

On August 24, community members can obtain the limited-edition Laufey card by signing up or exchanging their current card at select locations: Burton Barr Central Library (1–5 p.m.), Cholla Library (12–10 p.m.), Harmon Library (12–10 p.m.), and Yucca Library (12–10 p.m.). There will also be Bookmobile pop-up visits at Mesquite Library (10 a.m.–12 p.m.) and Desert Sage Library (1–3 p.m.). Those who choose the exclusive design will receive a new library card number.

Residents are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using #AVeryLaufeyDay and #PhoenixPublicLibrary to connect with others globally.
