The Phoenix Mercury have announced their roster for the upcoming 2025 WNBA season. In preparation, the team has released forward Temira Poindexter and guards Megan McConnell and Celeste Taylor. The contract of Murjanatu Musa, who is currently playing overseas, has been partially suspended until she joins the team. Kitija Laksa, also playing abroad, will join the team shortly.
This season’s roster includes key offseason acquisitions such as All-WNBA forward Alyssa Thomas and All-Star Satou Sabally, both joining returning player Kahleah Copper. Additional veteran players Sami Whitcomb and Kalani Brown will contribute to the team’s strength alongside Natasha Mack. Newcomers Monique Akoa Makani, Lexi Held, Alexis Prince, Sevgi Uzun, and Kathryn Westbeld round out the squad.
The Phoenix Mercury will commence their 2025 WNBA regular season with a home game against the Seattle Storm on Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m., part of the Fry’s Food Stores Home Opener series. Tickets can be purchased through phoenixmercury.com/tix.
