The Phoenix Mercury will release a limited-edition Valley Threads merchandise collection designed by forward Satou Sabally. The collection includes a hoodie and scarf, both created as part of the Valley Threads initiative, which allows players from the Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Suns to design exclusive apparel.

The hoodie features the phrase “Unicorns Exist On Planet M” on the front, referencing Sabally’s nickname and her connection with fans during her first year with the team. The back of the hoodie displays two mantras, “Played & Slayed” and “Zero Fear,” set against an elephant print background that reflects Sabally’s time in Africa.

An indigo blue scarf is also included in the collection. It incorporates Sabally’s favorite color and highlights her nickname “SaSa” arranged eight times in a circle, referencing her favorite number growing up. The scarf also integrates her current jersey number, using zeroes shaped into flowers with the Planet Mercury logo at the center. Additional design elements include elephant print and polka dots. According to the release, the scarf can be worn in various ways, such as in hair, as clothing, or tied to a bag.

“Sabally’s Valley Threads collection will be available for purchase exclusively in the Team Shop during Round 1, Game 1 of the 2025 WNBA Playoffs at PHX Arena on Sunday, September 14 while supplies last. Doors open at 12:45 p.m. and tickets to the game are still available at phxmerc.com/tix.”

This release follows last year’s limited-edition T-shirt designed by guard Kahleah Copper. Proceeds from sales of all Valley Threads merchandise will support the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation.
