For the fifth year in a row, Phoenix Children’s has been recognized as one of the “Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” by Healthiest Employers. The organization was ranked No. 62 for 2025, joining other large organizations across the country that are committed to employee wellness.

Kety Duron, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Phoenix Children’s, stated, “Five years of national recognition affirms what we’ve built — a culture that truly puts people first. We continue to evolve and expand our wellness programs to reflect the diverse needs of our workforce, ensuring each team member feels valued, supported and inspired in the important work they do each day.”

Phoenix Children’s provides employees with various programs and resources aimed at supporting physical, mental, and emotional health. These include an onsite Wellness Center equipped with fitness equipment, monthly yoga classes, relaxation spaces, onsite mental health services, family planning support, and personalized nutrition and fitness guidance. Employees can also use a virtual wellness platform that connects with wearable devices and rewards healthy behaviors through incentives. The organization regularly uses feedback from staff to improve these offerings.

The selection process for the Healthiest 100 Workplaces is based on an assessment that looks at six main areas: Culture and Leadership Commitment; Foundational Components; Strategic Planning; Communications and Marketing; Programming and Interventions; and Reporting and Analytics.

This recognition aligns with Phoenix Children’s broader goal to set high standards for workplace culture within healthcare. Earlier this year, the organization was also named among the top five healthiest employers in the extra-large firms category by Phoenix Business Journal.
