Phoenix Children’s announced on March 9 the promotion of Mike Meekins, PharmD, FACHE, to Senior Vice President of Operations. The organization said Meekins will oversee systemwide non-nursing operations and provide strategic leadership for clinical and support services.

The appointment comes as Phoenix Children’s continues to expand its services and focus on delivering high-quality care. The health system recruits top physicians and researchers, according to the official website. Meekins joined Phoenix Children’s in 2021 as Chief Pharmacy Officer and has served as Interim Senior Vice President of Operations since November 2025. During his tenure, he led growth within Pharmacy Services, launched new services, oversaw facility expansions, established an academic affiliation, and expanded the Pharmacy Residency program. He has also emphasized professional development for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
