Phoenix Art Museum will host a series of events in June, including a Pride Night and a Juneteenth celebration. On June 6, the museum will collaborate with thems., a Phoenix-based queer art collective, for First Friday: Pride Night from 5 to 8 pm. The event features free general admission, music performances, workshops by thems., and various interactive art experiences.

A Juneteenth celebration is scheduled for June 19, featuring an open mic hosted by Rashaad Thomas and a performance by Ashton Vaughn Charles. Visitors can also engage with local organizations such as Lit Twist Bookmobile and Arizona Birthworkers of Color.

The photography exhibition “Widening the Lens: Photography, Ecology, and the Contemporary Landscape” will conclude on June 15. This exhibition examines ecological trauma and our relationship with land through photography.

Several discount programs are available at PhxArt. Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays offer voluntary-donation admission from 3 to 8 pm every Wednesday. Active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families can enjoy free admission from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day under the Blue Star Museums program.

On June 1, PhxArt will celebrate 602 Day with discounted youth and senior admissions at $6.02 in honor of Phoenix’s area code.

PhxArt Family Funday on June 29 offers complimentary admission with activities inspired by “The World of Anna Sui” exhibition. Activities include storytelling, hands-on fashion design sessions, and more.

The museum also hosts film screenings like National Theatre Live’s “Dr. Strangelove” on June 5 and other events throughout the month.

Phoenix Art Museum continues to engage visitors with its dynamic exhibitions and programs since its founding in 1959. It attracts approximately 300,000 guests annually who explore its extensive collection across various art forms.
