February marks Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, highlighting the work of CTE teachers, students, and programs at Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVSchools). CTE programs play a key role in preparing students for current job opportunities as well as future careers that may not yet exist.

These programs offer a broad selection of subjects, allowing students to discover their interests and consider various career paths. PVSchools’ CTE options include science, technology, fine arts, and humanities. Students who participate in crossover CTE programs can earn both a fine arts seal on their diploma and an industry certification, providing them with early career advantages.

The district encourages students to explore its twenty-five CTE programs as pathways toward employment or further education. “There are so many different options available, and the possibilities are endless! You can go anywhere and do anything with a CTE certificate. CTE programs are a great way to start your career or jump ahead on a college pathway,” according to the district.

Paradise Valley Unified School District serves the Paradise Valley area in Arizona and operates under the guidance of a board of school trustees. The district emphasizes anti-racism, equity, and inclusion in its policies and practices. It also focuses on engaging and inspiring students through quality instruction and dynamic learning experiences by offering community learning centers and magnet programs to enhance educational opportunities for all students. More information about these initiatives is available on the official PVSchools website.
