North Canyon High School student-athletes won six gold medals at the AIA Division II Track and Field Championships held at Red Mountain High School, according to a May 14 announcement from PVSchools.
The achievement highlights the strength of North Canyon’s athletic program and brings recognition to both the school and Paradise Valley Unified School District. The success reflects the commitment of students and coaches in preparing for competitive events.
Individual winners included Joseph Guma in the 800 meter with a time of 1:55.56, Devyn Henderson in the 200 meter at 24.30 seconds, Addysan Prassas in the 100 meter at 11.94 seconds, Tiana Becketts in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 43.39 seconds, and Lanaya McCloud who cleared five feet seven inches in high jump. The team of Dimitria Kossigbo, Alana Wilson-Johnson, Tiana Becketts, and Sabriyah El-Amin secured gold in the girls’ 4×100 relay with a time of 46.79 seconds.
