The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications to fill the position of White Tank Justice Precinct Constable following the resignation of Mark Sinclair, effective November 9, 2025.

The White Tank Justice Precinct covers areas northwest and southwest of Goodyear and Avondale up to Buckeye, within Supervisorial Districts 4 and 5. The constable’s duties include executing, serving, and returning processes, warrants, and notices, as well as attending justice courts when needed.

According to the Board of Supervisors, “By law, the appointee must be a Republican, like Sinclair, live in the White Tank Justice Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. The appointee will fill the position through the remainder of the term, which ends on December 31, 2026.”

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit letters of interest along with a resume to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by email at clerkboard@maricopa.gov or by mail to Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 301 W. Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ 85003 (10th floor). Applications are being accepted until Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m. All documents filed with the Clerk’s Office will become public records and applicants will undergo a background check.

Maricopa County has also reported that in recent academic years student achievement has been mixed. For example, during the 2023-24 school year only about 36% of students in grades three through eight passed the mathematics section on state assessments (source).
