LCS Desert Ridge II, LLC and LCS Desert Ridge, LLC owned Acacia Health Center in Phoenix during the first quarter of 2026, according to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The facility is designated as a for-profit nursing home.

For that time frame, Acacia Health Center earned an overall CMS rating of five, surpassing the Arizona state average for nursing homes, which was 3.4. CMS evaluates nursing homes using key criteria such as results from health inspections, number of staff members, and the quality of care delivered to residents.

The data indicates Acacia Health Center served an average daily resident census of 71.8 in the first quarter of 2026, with capacity for 78 beds. The facility operates independently and is not based at a hospital.

Acacia Health Center reported no fines or penalties for incidents as of the first quarter of 2026.

Maricopa County, Arizona, was home to 68 for-profit nursing home facilities in total.

According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates, the nation continues to see growth in its older adult population as numbers in younger age groups decline. From 2020 to 2024, Americans ages 65 and up increased by 13%, while those under 18 decreased by 1.7%. Over the last century, the country’s older adult population has expanded significantly, from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million by 2024.

A 2021 study notes nearly half of this demographic, about 28 million people, may need long-term services and supports, with over one-third expected to eventually require nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
