Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth, a Republican elected in 2022 to represent the state’s 2nd House District, shared his views on infrastructure and campaign events in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between May 27 and May 29, 2026.
On May 27, Wilmeth commented enthusiastically about campaign venues, posting: “Heck yes! Also, I’d hold campaign events at one. https://t.co/KWbgMH4se3”.
Two days later, on May 29, he expressed his preference for prioritizing investments in existing transportation infrastructure over high-speed rail projects. Wilmeth wrote, “I’d much rather plow that kind of money into modernizing/repairing the Interstate Highway System and into airport infrastructure. I think both of those make nationwide high-speed rail unnecessary. I can fly PHX to Spokane and Sioux Falls and other small, obscure locales – why https://t.co/Cvd4NaNuNd”.
Later the same day, he posted another tweet containing only links: “https://t.co/O11kyrEU9S https://t.co/12iKwxIpXc”.
Wilmeth succeeded Daniel Hernández Jr. after winning election to the Arizona State House in 2022. He has been vocal about transportation priorities during his tenure as a state legislator.
