Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth took to social media recently to update his followers on significant developments within the state’s legislative process and share a lighthearted commentary with his audience.
On April 24, 2025, Rep. Wilmeth noted that the legislative process resembled “the old-school, late-night budget times” filled with moments of “hurry up and wait” as lawmakers worked through evening sessions. He emphasized the importance of these efforts in crafting “the best possible bill for those families that need it most.”
Later that day, Rep. Wilmeth shared progress on legislation aimed at supporting families with members who have developmental disabilities. He announced that “the bill we in the House passed last night to take care of DDD families just passed out of the Senate, 28-1!!!” The legislation now advances to Governor Katie Hobbs for her signature.
Concluding his day’s posts, the representative injected a bit of humor, referencing the closure of Blockbuster stores. He humorously suggested, “If you never paid that late fee to Blockbuster, this empty store is likely your fault “
This series of posts from Rep. Wilmeth highlights both the serious legislative undertakings and a lighter interaction with his followers.
