Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth, a Republican representing the state’s 2nd House District since his election in 2022, shared a series of reflections on history and technology via his Twitter account on May 24, 2026.
In one post, Wilmeth honored World War II veterans by stating, “These are just two of the few men we have left who literally saved the world from evil and tyranny. Thank God for them and their brothers who didn’t survive that time this weekend and never forget their efforts.” (May 24, 2026)
Shortly after, he commented on technological progress with, “Atari led to AOL. (Which led to the modern Internet.) Wild.” (May 24, 2026)
In another tweet posted minutes later, Wilmeth drew attention to historical cycles regarding daylight saving time policies: “Gee… Sounds like now. I wish more people paid attention to history. The results of what some want (permanent DST) are already known. ‘History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.'” (May 24, 2026)
Wilmeth has served as Arizona’s representative for District 2 since succeeding Daniel Hernández Jr., following his election in November 2022.
