Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth has recently shared a series of posts on social media, addressing issues ranging from energy policy to personal reflections.

On March 14, 2026, Wilmeth recounted his experience testifying before the California state Senate two years prior. He stated, “I actually went to the California state Senate two years ago to testify against their legislation forcing closures of refineries, as AZ receives roughly a third of its gasoline from there. Of course, it fell on deaf ears. That state, in the early 1980s, had 43 refineries. Now?” The post highlights concerns about Arizona’s reliance on California for gasoline and references the decline in the number of refineries in California since the early 1980s.

Later that day, Wilmeth posted a more personal update: “Staying outside until dusk” (March 14, 2026).

The following day, he reflected on astronomy and existence with another brief statement: “I’m continually amazed by the vastness of the universe. Wow.” (March 15, 2026).

Wilmeth is a Republican who was elected to represent Arizona’s 2nd House District in 2022 after Daniel Hernández Jr., according to public records.
