Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth, a Republican elected in 2022 to represent the state’s 2nd House District, recently shared several posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing international human rights bodies and commentary on late night television.

On September 17, 2025, Wilmeth expressed criticism regarding certain countries’ membership in an international body. He wrote: “NONE of those countries should be on the Human Rights Council. Wow.”

Later that day, he highlighted a piece of commentary by posting: “Absolutely amazing commentary here… Great thoughts:” The tweet included a link to additional content but did not elaborate further within the post itself.

On September 18, 2025, Wilmeth shared a quotation critiquing the evolution of late night television shows: “Late night shows, something’s gone seriously awry there. They went from going for applause, from laugh lines to applause lines. They went from being court gestures that would make fun of everybody in power to being court clerics and enforcing a very narrow political ideology.”

Wilmeth succeeded Daniel Hernández Jr. as representative for Arizona’s 2nd House District following his election in 2022.
