Immanuel Campus of Care ranked as Maricopa County’s largest nursing home in Q1 2026

Immanuel Campus of Care was identified as the largest nursing home in Maricopa County during the first quarter of 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported.

The facility provided 228 beds, exceeding the Maricopa County average by 110 beds in the first quarter of 2026. On average, 165.9 residents were served over that timeframe.

CMS assigned Immanuel Campus of Care an overall rating of 2 out of 5, which is below Arizona’s nursing home average of 3.4.

Providence Place at Glencroft, offering 225 beds, was the second largest, while Life Care Center of North Glendale secured third with 223 beds available.

By the close of the first quarter of 2026, Immanuel Campus of Care had incurred $18,529 in two fines and faced two penalties.

There were 68 for-profit nursing facilities operating in Maricopa County, Arizona, in total.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the country’s older adult demographic continues to rise as younger populations shrink. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans age 65 and older expanded by 13%, while those under 18 dropped by 1.7%. The nation’s older population has seen significant growth, increasing from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.

A 2021 report projects nearly half of these older adults—about 28 million—could need long-term services and assistance, with more than a third expected to require nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
