Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth recently shared a series of tweets covering a range of topics from personal political inspirations to religious intrigue.
On May 9, 2025, Rep. Wilmeth addressed Michael Carbone in a tweet, tagging him with “CC: @MichaelCarbone”.
The following day, on May 10, 2025, Rep. Wilmeth expressed admiration for Winston Churchill, describing him as one of his top three political heroes alongside Reagan and Goldwater. He stated that “Churchill was the right man and leader at the most vital time.” He also recounted his visit to London in 2023 where he toured the Churchill War Room, remarking on its historical significance.
Later on May 10, Rep. Wilmeth shared his curiosity about an “American Pope,” despite not being Catholic himself. He referred to an article from National Review regarding Leo XIV’s potential as pontiff and noted that “this whole ‘American Pope’ thing intrigues the heck out of me.”
