Applications are now open for the Greater Phoenix Chamber Valley Young Professionals (VYP) Board of Directors. The board consists of business leaders aged 25 to 39 who are committed to community engagement and play a role in developing programs aimed at retaining and attracting young professionals to the Greater Phoenix area.
Board members are responsible for guiding the direction of the VYP program. Their duties include identifying content, selecting speakers, choosing venues, and establishing community partnerships. Members are also expected to use their personal and professional networks to promote the work of VYP and the Chamber.
The Valley Young Professionals program acts as a leadership pipeline for the Chamber’s board of directors. Those selected for the VYP Board gain access to exclusive events, leadership development, and mentorship opportunities.
Applications for the VYP Board of Directors are available online. To be eligible, applicants must be members of either the Greater Phoenix Chamber or Valley Young Professionals. The initial term for board members is two years, with the possibility of renewing for an additional two years. Non-members interested in joining the board are encouraged to inquire about membership. The application period opens on Monday, March 31, 2025, and the deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025.
