On Sunday, Feb. 22, at 12 p.m., Sacramento State Hornets—with former Horizon High School standout Erick Dessens—secured a 21-2 win over the Saint Joseph’s Hawks in NCAA Division I baseball.

John Smith Field hosted the matchup, marking the teams’ fourth meeting of the season. The Hornets had previously won 4-2 on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Dessens contributed three hits in six at-bats, two runs scored, three RBIs, along with one walk and one strikeout.

Next, the Hornets are set to play at Klein Family Field against the Pacific Tigers on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m.
