Juanpablo De Leon, a junior English and English Language Development teacher at Corona del Sol High School in Arizona, said teaching students to use artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning supplement will significantly boost productivity. He made the statement in an interview.

“If we teach them how to use AI to supplement their learning, this will greatly increase productivity,” said De Leon, English Teacher.

According to Forbes, integrating AI into education is becoming increasingly common as schools look to use technology to enhance student learning. Educators are incorporating AI tools to personalize learning experiences and support diverse educational needs. However, the rapid adoption of AI also raises challenges related to data privacy and digital equity.

EdTech Magazine reported that a 2024 survey found that 63% of educators believe AI will have a positive impact on education, particularly in increasing efficiency and personalizing learning experiences. However, 37% expressed concerns about potential over-reliance on technology and the need for proper implementation.

According to MyPayMySay, in Arizona, teacher unions have actively engaged in discussions on integrating AI into classrooms, emphasizing the need for professional development to ensure educators are prepared for the shift. These initiatives aim to balance innovation with practical teaching skills.

De Leon is involved in educational development and actively engages in fostering language skills among his students.
