On April 3, 2026, Ansari announced an open position in her Washington, D.C. office: ” Join my office in DC I’m looking for an experienced Legislative Director! The following day, April 4, 2026, she highlighted her participation at the MAPA Summit organized by @allinedaz: “I spoke at @allinedaz’s MAPA Summit about strengthening literary outcomes in Arizona, the importance of diverse voices in classrooms, and the future of education in Arizona. Later that same day, Ansari commented on an oversight community hearing held with Representative Grijalva: “Last night’s oversight community hearing with @Rep_Grijalva shed new light on the horrific impacts of the Trump regime’s policies on Arizona families. ICE is terrorizing people on our streets and inside detention centers. We must abolish ICE and end for-profit detention centers.”
Yassamin Ansari was elected to Congress after defeating Jeff Zink in the 2024 general election by a significant margin, receiving 70.9% of the vote compared to Zink’s 26.6%.
