Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has made a series of public statements regarding the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial connections and U.S. policy toward officials from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ansari, who was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote, posted multiple messages on her official social media account on February 18, 2026.

In a post published at 19:09 UTC, Ansari stated, “Money is what empowered, propelled, and protected Jeffrey Epstein. @OversightDems are following that money — straight to Les Wexner. It is completely inconceivable that Wexner did not know what was going on. This is the biggest coverup in American history.”

Later that day, at 21:33 UTC, she continued to address Les Wexner’s connection to Epstein by writing, “Les Wexner financed Jeffrey Epstein’s life for decades and when I asked if he’d been to his island, he said yes. Yet he denies having a ‘personal relationship’ with Epstein or knowledge of wrongdoing. Wexner was under oath today and we won’t stop pushing until we get the truth.”

On a separate topic at 21:14 UTC, Ansari commented on visa policies toward Iranian officials implicated in domestic crackdowns: “Islamic Republic regime officials complicit in violent crackdowns and internet blackouts shouldn’t be welcomed into the United States. Visa restrictions are a step toward accountability.

We must keep standing with the people of Iran demanding freedom and dignity.”

Ansari’s comments reflect ongoing congressional scrutiny over Jeffrey Epstein’s financial backers and broader calls for accountability regarding international human rights abuses. Her recent electoral victory over Jeff Zink positioned her as a vocal member of Congress addressing both domestic investigations and foreign policy issues.
