Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, who represents Arizona’s 3rd congressional district, recently shared a series of posts on her social media account addressing national leadership, holiday greetings, and foreign policy concerns.

On April 5, 2026, Ansari made a pointed statement regarding the nation’s executive leadership. She wrote, “The 25th Amendment exists for a reason. The President of the United States is a deranged lunatic, and a national security threat to our country and the rest of the world.” This comment reflects her concern about the current president’s capacity to lead and potential implications for national security.

Later that day, Ansari extended holiday wishes to her constituents. She posted on April 5, 2026: “Happy Easter to all those celebrating in AZ-03 and across the country! We wish everyone celebrating a joyful day filled with hope, renewal, and time spent with loved ones.”

The following day, Ansari addressed an international incident involving Iran. On April 6, 2026 she stated: “Sharif University is Iran’s MIT. They’ve produced a huge number of engineers who’ve gone on to Silicon Valley and founded some of the most successful American tech companies. Why are we bombing a university in a city of 10 million people?”

Ansari won her seat in Congress after defeating Jeff Zink in the 2024 general election by a significant margin—receiving approximately 70.9% of the vote compared to Zink’s 26.6%.
