Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently taken to social media to criticize Arizona Republicans and the Trump Administration, focusing on issues related to health care funding and immigration enforcement.

On December 31, 2025, Ansari wrote, “Every single Arizona Republican voted to rip away your health care and instead give $170 billion to @DHSgov @ICEgov. That money is now being funneled to private prison companies to detain human beings based on insane, fake quotas. It’s authoritarian and deeply corrupt.”

Later that same day, she commented further on the matter by stating, “It absolutely has everything to do with political retribution.”

In another post published in the evening of December 31, Ansari addressed actions by the Trump Administration regarding Kilmar Abrego Garcia: “Horrifying. This reveals a deliberate effort by the Trump Administration to fabricate charges against Kilmar Abrego Garcia. They’re willing to do anything to avoid admitting they unlawfully deported him to El Salvador—and they’ve been hellbent on destroying his life ever since.”

Ansari won her congressional seat in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink in the general election with 70.9% of the vote compared to Zink’s 26.6%.
