Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, a U.S. Representative who won her seat in 2024 by defeating Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote, posted several statements on her social media account on April 13, 2026.

In a post made at 03:26 UTC, Ansari wrote: “Beyond mentally unstable.”

Later that day, at 17:46 UTC, she stated: “Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales should step down from their roles as Congressmen. If not, I plan to vote to expel them.”

At 20:55 UTC on the same day, Ansari addressed legislative priorities related to reproductive health care: “My reproductive health bills address the long-standing disparities and inequities in care, from period pain and menopause, to reproductive leave for women and men alike. Learn more about my HER Agenda https://t.co/i7uOlNYJOi”

Ansari’s victory in the 2024 general election was decisive; she secured her congressional seat by winning over two-thirds of the vote against Jeff Zink.
