Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently used her social media platform to address a range of international and domestic issues, including the ongoing conflict in Lebanon, concerns over former President Donald Trump’s fitness for office, and calls for Congressional hearings related to Epstein survivors.
On April 8, 2026, Ansari posted about the situation in Lebanon, stating: “Lebanon must be included in this fragile ceasefire. The horrific bombings and murder of hundreds of civilians in Beirut and elsewhere by Netanyahu need to end immediately. Trump and Vance must ensure it.”
The following day, on April 9, 2026, she addressed concerns regarding Donald Trump’s mental health and capacity to serve as president: “Donald Trump is mentally unstable and unfit for office. He threatened to ‘end a civilization,’ and a fragile ceasefire doesn’t change that. This isn’t partisan. I’m calling on the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment.”
Later on April 9, Ansari commented on demands from the First Lady regarding Congressional action: “The First Lady is demanding Congressional Republicans hold an open hearing and invite Epstein survivors to testify under oath. I couldn’t agree more. @SpeakerJohnson will you listen to the First Lady?”
Yassamin Ansari was elected to Congress after defeating Jeff Zink in the 2024 general election with nearly 71% of the vote.
