Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently used her social media platform to address a range of international and domestic issues, including U.S. immigration policy, human rights in Iran, and the ongoing response to the Epstein Files.

On February 5, 2026, Ansari criticized former President Donald Trump’s statements regarding Iran, stating: “Despite Trump’s claims that arrests and executions have stopped, the murderous Islamic Republic continues its brutality. The people of Iran are not bargaining chips. We must hold the regime accountable for its heinous crimes.”

Later that day, she announced new legislative efforts concerning U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), writing: ” I just introduced my DRAIN ICE legislation package to repeal the tens of billions Trump and Republicans handed ICE last summer, force accountability for deadly detention center conditions, and save lives now. I’m urging my colleagues to sign on.”

On February 6, 2026, Ansari addressed public interest in ongoing investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein: “America is not ‘moving on’ from the Epstein Files. Not until every person who committed or enabled these heinous crimes is prosecuted and survivors get the justice they deserve.”

Ansari was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink in the general election with over 70% of the vote.
