Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has made a series of statements on her social media account addressing current political controversies and urging accountability from public officials.

On April 8, 2026, Ansari wrote, “This isn’t partisan. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents now know that Trump is dangerous and unfit. Whether through impeachment or by invoking the 25th Amendment, it is far past time Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are removed from office.”

Later that day, she posted another message concerning recent political discourse: “I do not appreciate anyone – Democrat or Republican – taking this moment to make TACO jokes to say Trump ‘chickened out.’ The president was threatening genocide against 90 million Iranians. I’m grateful there’s a ceasefire & scores of innocent people didn’t die tonight.” This statement came amid heightened tensions involving Iran and the United States.

In a subsequent post on April 8, Ansari addressed the issue of former White House official Pam Bondi: “Just because Pam Bondi got fired, doesn’t mean that she’s no longer accountable for her role in the White House cover-up of the Epstein Files. She MUST come to testify before the Oversight Committee or be held in contempt of Congress. This is far from over.”

Yassamin Ansari was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink with approximately 71% of the vote compared to Zink’s 27%. Her recent comments reflect ongoing debates within U.S. politics regarding presidential conduct, foreign policy decisions related to Iran, and oversight investigations involving former administration officials.
