Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, who represents Arizona’s 3rd congressional district, has recently addressed a range of topics on her official Twitter account, including immigration enforcement in Phoenix and former President Donald Trump’s policies.
On January 4, 2026, Ansari posted a brief message: “Still waiting…”
Later that day, she commented on media coverage regarding potential increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in Phoenix. In her post dated January 5, 2026, Ansari wrote: “My thoughts on recent reporting on potential ICE ramp up in Phoenix. It’s important folks know what’s happening, why, and to proactively prepare. If you’re a resident of AZ-03, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we have a bilingual team here to help: https://t.co/aI5lm9n7PZ https://t.co/m4vP8aO94p”
In another post later the same day, Ansari criticized former President Trump’s record on domestic policy and foreign affairs. She stated: “Trump is a madman. He’s done nothing-nothing-to make health care, housing, child care or utilities more affordable for Americans. And now “we’re in charge” of Venezuela? It doesn’t get more delusional or reckless than this.”
Ansari was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink with approximately 70.9% of the vote compared to Zink’s 26.6%.
