Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has issued a series of statements on her official Twitter account criticizing the actions of former President Donald Trump and key Republican officials, focusing on recent developments involving the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the oversight of the so-called “Epstein Files.”

On May 29, 2026, Ansari commented on a recent interview with Pam Bondi, stating, “Today’s closed-door interview with Pam Bondi confirmed: Donald Trump has weaponized the DOJ and Republicans have enabled the most egregious cover up in American history. It’s absurd. We won’t stop fighting until we get the truth and deliver justice for the courageous survivors.”

Later that day, she reiterated her criticism of Trump administration officials and accused them of repeated dishonesty. She wrote, “Trump Administration officials have lied over and over again. The DOJ has been weaponized at the hands of Donald Trump. This White House cover up is egregious—but we’re not backing down.” (May 29, 2026)

On May 30, 2026, Ansari highlighted procedural concerns regarding congressional oversight, specifically mentioning James Comer and Mike Johnson. She stated, “Pam Bondi wasn’t under oath today because James Comer and Mike Johnson have taken every step to neuter the Oversight Committee in service of Trump’s cover up of the Epstein Files. Now Johnson is canceling votes on Tuesday because he’s lost control of his conference.”

Yassamin Ansari was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink by a significant margin—winning approximately 70.9% to Zink’s 26.6%.

These statements come amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding both historical allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein and broader debates about executive power and congressional oversight.
