Banner Health facilities across Arizona received a range of donations and volunteer support during the 2025 holiday season. Community organizations such as the Armer Foundation, Walmart, Walgreens, Fit Body Boot Camp, the Mesa Fire Department, the Glendale Police Department, and the Deer Valley Eagle Riders contributed gifts to Banner Children’s hospitals in Mesa, Glendale, and Tucson.
The Deer Valley Eagle Riders delivered their donation on motorcycles to Banner Children’s at Thunderbird on December 13. On December 16, members of the Tucson Roadrunners minor league hockey team visited patients at Banner’s Diamond Children’s in Tucson to participate in arts and crafts activities. Arizona State Troopers and other state department representatives brought teddy bears and police badges for children at Diamond Children’s in Tucson on December 18. The Christmas family donated toys at Banner Children’s at Desert in Mesa on December 23 in memory of their daughter Savannah.
Various groups collected gifts to restock toy closets and provide items for children who would spend the holidays in hospital care. Volunteers dressed as Santa Claus also spent time with young patients at several locations including Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, Banner Estrella in Phoenix, Banner Thunderbird, and Banner Desert.
“Linked here is a sampling of photos from the visits and events throughout December. The Banner Health Foundation and facility staff are grateful for all of the generous donations of time and presents,” according to a statement from Banner Health.
