Larry Fitzgerald will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August, and the Arizona Cardinals will play the Carolina Panthers in the 2026 Hall of Fame game on August 6. The announcement was made by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday. The induction ceremony for the Hall’s 2026 class is scheduled for August 8.

The Panthers have linebacker Luke Kuechly entering the Hall alongside Fitzgerald. Other inductees include quarterback Drew Brees, kicker Adam Vinatieri, and running back Roger Craig.

This marks the Cardinals’ third appearance in the Hall of Fame game since their move to Arizona, with previous games in 2012 and 2017. Their last appearance coincided with Kurt Warner’s induction into the Hall. In total, the franchise has played in six Hall of Fame games, including a tie against the New York Giants in 1962.

The upcoming game provides a fourth preseason contest for head coach Mike LaFleur’s first season with the team. As a result, players will report to training camp earlier than usual to prepare for what will be the NFL’s first game of 2026.

Fans already had access to a Premier Travel package that includes tickets to Fitzgerald’s induction event and other benefits. With the Cardinals designated as the “home” team for this matchup, additional perks are available.

The Arizona Cardinals are part of the NFC West division and play their home games in Glendale, Arizona, serving fans across the greater Phoenix area according to their official website. The team is recognized as both an NFC champion from 2008 and as one of professional football’s oldest continuously operating franchises official website.
