The Arizona Cardinals announced on Mar. 12 the release of offensive lineman Evan Brown as part of a series of roster changes that include signing tackle Elijah Wilkinson and Matt Pryor. The moves are aimed at strengthening the team’s offensive line ahead of the upcoming season.
Brown, who started at guard for 17 games in 2024 and another 11 last season, was released after missing the final five games due to his son’s health issues at birth. His departure will result in a $1.5 million dead cap hit for the team this year, while he was scheduled to make $4.2 million in salary.
With Brown’s exit, newcomer Isaac Seumalo is expected to take over as starting left guard. Isaiah Adams is currently projected as right guard, though Pryor also has experience at that position. Wilkinson could start at right tackle, a role he filled last season with Atlanta, but there remains a possibility that a draft pick could be added to compete for the spot. Wilkinson previously played in ten games for Arizona in 2023, starting nine at left guard.
Other depth options on the offensive line include Jon Gaines II at guard. Paris Johnson Jr. remains set as left tackle and Hjalte Froholdt continues as center in the starting lineup.
In addition to these changes on the offensive line, the Cardinals have signed several other players: long snapper Casey Kreiter, quarterback Gardner Minshew II, defensive lineman Jonah Williams (the other Jonah Williams), running back Tyler Allgeier, and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.
