Banner Health has appointed Adrienne Moore as its new senior vice president of strategy and growth. Moore, who previously served as senior vice president of finance for the nonprofit health system, brings more than 25 years of experience in health care finance to her new role.
Effective February 2, Moore will oversee organizational and market strategy, innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and market growth at Banner Health. She will lead the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan, focusing on market planning, growth initiatives, partnerships, operational outcomes, acquisitions and mergers, joint ventures, and overall growth strategy.

Moore’s move from a financial leadership role reflects her ongoing commitment to Banner Health’s nonprofit mission. Her background includes expertise in operational efficiency and understanding community health needs. During her nine years at Banner Health—which operates as a leading nonprofit health system providing comprehensive services like hospitals and insurance across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada and Wyoming (https://www.bannerhealth.com/newsroom)—Moore has held several key roles. She began as finance director before serving as interim chief financial officer at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. She later became vice president of revenue cycle management before taking over as senior vice president of finance two years ago. Her responsibilities have included oversight in areas such as new facility builds, acquisitions, hospital management ranging from small critical access sites to large academic medical centers as well as ambulatory care settings.
Moore holds a doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University along with degrees in healthcare management, finance and accounting. She serves as adjunct faculty for Valparaiso University teaching healthcare finance and public health courses. Additionally, she is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives; serves on the editorial board for Frontiers of Health Management; and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
